Office of Career Services

The Office of Career Services offers personalized service to assist students in securing rewarding internships, jobs and other professional opportunities. A broad range of services and resources are available to current students and alumni.

Individual Career Counseling

Students can schedule appointments with a Career Services staff member to review job search documents, internship opportunities, or any other topic related to their careers.

Alumni Involvement

Through Alumni Briefings, GSPIA Alumni regularly speak to students regarding their own career searches, current positions, and their GSPIA experience. Alumni are also available as networking contacts for students.

Professional Development Course

First-year students will gain the knowledge and resources necessary to begin to plan their career and internship searches. This graduation requirement covers job search techniques, resume and cover letter review, interviewing skills, internship and company searches, and much more.

Employer Services

Employers are invited to present information sessions and perform on-campus recruitment to students. Employers may interview GSPIA students on-site. Conference rooms and video conference technology are available for non-local employers.

Washington Center

A Career Services staff member is located in GSPIA’s Washington, DC Center. Students attending the DC semester, as well as alumni, have local access to Career Services through the Center.

Career Services E-Bulletin

Featured job and internship openings, as well as important upcoming event announcements, are sent to students weekly in the Career Services E-Bulletin.
