For students
interested in internships, meetings or conferences
in the nation's capital, Pittsburgh is located a half-day's
drive from Washington, D.C. Students may take advantage
of strong connections with GSPIA alumni who work in
federal agencies, offices of elected officials, and
nonprofit organizations of Washington, D.C.
GSPIA's
Washington, D.C., Semester Program
gives students the opportunity to spend a semester
attending classes in Washington, D.C. Most students
also fulfill their internship requirements at government
and corporate organizations while in Washington, D.C.
The Washington,
D.C., Semester Program is a carried out by GSPIA in
partnership with Syracuse
University 's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public
Affairs and the Graduate School of International Studies
at the University of Denver. The program is selective
and admits up to twenty students from GSPIA in the
fall term.
