Information for Graduating Students
Where can I get printed invitations?
A limited number of printed invitations to the GSPIA Honors and Graduation Celebration will be available in the Office of Student Services. Invitations are souvenirs and are not required to gain entrance to the graduation celebration on April 26 at the 20th Century Club.
Am I allowed to bring champagne or any other type of alcohol?
No, please do not bring any type of alcoholic beverage into the 20th Century Club.

Faculty & Staff
Do I need a cap and gown and if so, where do I get them?
All faculty participating in the procession must wear regalia. Custom regalia is available year-round in the Supplies Department at the Book Center. Please visit the Book Center's web page to download the order form and price list. Call 412-648-1451 if you need assistance.
How do I RSVP for the luncheon (April 25, 2008) and the graduation celebration (April 26, 2008)?

Where do faculty robe and line up?
Please arrive fully robed at the 20th Century Club no later than 12:00 noon to line up; staff volunteers will be on hand to assist you. The processional will begin prompty at 12:30 and will be led by drummers.

When and where is GSPIA's Honors and Graduation Celebration?
Saturday, April 26 at the 20th Century Club, 4201 Bigelow Boulevard, Pittsburgh PA. The facility will open approximately 30 minutes before the ceremony. The Honors and Graduation celebration will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Do guests need a ticket or invitation to attend? How many guests can attend? What if I need special seating?
Guests do not need a ticket or invitation to attend. A limited number of souvenir invitations to the GSPIA Honors and Graduation Celebration are available to graduating students. When they RSVP, graduating students will indicate the number of guests. Graduating students may also request special seating for any guests with special needs plus one companion. If special seating has been requested, please give your name to the graduation volunteer when you arrive at the 20th Century Club and you will be escorted to the reserved seating.
Will there be a class photo?
Yes. A class photo will be taken by a professional photographer on the steps of Soldiers & Sailors National Military Museum in Pittsburgh. Photos will be posted on the GSPIA website after the event, available for free download, or may be purchased from the photographer.
The photographer will begin lining up graduates for the photo at 11 a.m. Students should arrive early and fully robed (cap included).
What kind of parking will be available?
Expect parking to be a challenge. Street level (metered) parking is available in and around Oakland. There are also select public parking garages available for varying costs. Beginning at 8 a.m., all University of Pittsburgh parking garages and lots will be free for graduates and their guests. Please visit this webpage for helpful references and resources.
