Johnson Institute for Responsible Leadership and GSPIA host
leadership training program for Nigerian officials
This week, more than two dozen Nigerian business leaders join GSPIA and the Johnson Institute for Responsible Leadership to learn about ethics, accountability, and corporate governance in leadership.
Throughout the week, program participants will be in training sessions with professors and executives from the Pittsburgh region. Program presenters include:
- Kevin Kearns, Professor, GSPIA, and Director, Johnson Institute for Responsible Leadership
- Peter Masden, Professor of Philosophy, Carnegie Mellon University
- Mike Romano, Senior Vice President and Corporate Compliance Officer, Highmark
- Ray Jones, Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Coordinator, Katz School of Business, University of Pittsburgh
- Louis Picard, Professor, GSPIA
- Cecil Blake, Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Africana Studies, University of Pittsburgh
- Bruce Bickel, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Private Foundation Management Services, PNC Bank
In addition to the training sessions, participants will also hear from Aradhna Dhanda, President and CEO of Leadership Pittsburgh and Sala Udin, President and CEO of the Coro Center for Civic Leadership in a panel discussion on what it means to be an effective, successful leader. This panel is moderated by Kevin Kearns, and is by invitation only.
Participants will be meeting with representatives of the Oakland Business Improvement District for a one-on-one talk and tour of Oakland businesses.
