On November
9, GSPIA Assistant Professor R. Charli Carpenter presented
her research at Yale University's Genocide Studies
Center Speaker Series. The title of her talk
was Issue Emergence in Transnational Advocacy
Networks: The Curious Case of Children Born of Genocidal
Rape.
In other
news, Carpenter's article, Explaining Issue Adoption
in Transnational Advocacy Networks, was accepted for
publication in the journal International Organizations.
Carpenter will also have another article,
Setting the Advocacy Agenda: Issue Emergence and Non-Emergence
in Transnational Advocacy Networks, published in the
March 2007 issue of International Studies
Quarterly.
