Ford Institute for Human Security praised for work on child soldiers.
United Kindgom - GSPIA's Ford Insitute for Human Security was recently praised by UN Special Representative of the Secretary General on Children and Armed Conflict, Radhika Coomaraswamy for their work on child soldiers. On March 19 - 23, Radhika Coomaraswamy, spoke at a conference titled "Children and Armed Conflict." She praised the work done by the Ford Insitute on child soldiers. The conference was attended by all major UN agencies as wel as leading donor governments. Coomaraswamy spoke of the work conducted by the Ford Institute on the protection of IDPs and refugees, and the important of evidendence-based research.
