You will have the option to participate in résumé reviews, negotiation workshops, mock interviews, and networking events where you'll connect with like-minded change agents like you. Our services align with your goals and to prepare you to land the jobs and internships you want.

Internships

MPIA, MID, or MPA students are required to complete a 300-hour internship relevant to academic and career goals, gaining real-world experience across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

International Experiences

We believe that international experiences can play a unique role in a student's education, enabling them to gain a global perspective and a deeper understanding of knowledge learned in the classroom. We are pleased to offer funding to support such experiences.

As a student or an alum, you can use GSPIA Career Launch, our online career resource portal, to see what change-making opportunities are waiting for you.

  • Access job and internship postings
  • Schedule an appointment with career services
  • Submit internship paperwork
  • Events – view the schedule of career services events, including professional development workshops, alumni career panels, and employer information sessions. Register for the event directly on the site to be sent updates and reminders!
  • Document Library – download professional development resources, such as resume and interviewing guides to help get you started on your job search! You can also link directly to several additional GSPIA and Pitt tools that you have access to as a student
